Water Management its needs and balances have finally become a reality
As far back as 2016 I’ve been highlighting the need for checks and balances in water resources across Cambridgeshire.
You would have thought that the water companies would have reflected on this in the latest Water Resource management plans for 2025-2030. But forgive me, they still live believe that demand can be reduced and enable growth, without further environmental impact. I have had input into a combined letter objecting to this approach sent to the Secretary of State on these plans submitted by all the water companies. This was reported in the Times last week.
⛔ Water companies are hiding the truth and we won’t stand for it ⛔
Information in the water companies’ final Water Resource Management Plans, which set out how demand will be met, is uncertain and misleading.

This week Councillors in Cambridge and even the EA has said enough is enough and objected to more development within South Cambridgeshire. See link to BBC.
