Angling trust grant-writing skills workshops
Are you a club or fishery looking to improve your facilities, protect fish stocks or run a special project? Do you need to find external funding to do this?
Whatever stage you are in at in planning your project, we would urge you to attend one of four special Grant-writing Skills Workshops in the East region on:

All four workshops are free to attend open to any angling provider. The evenings start at 6.30 pm (sandwiches and tea/coffee available on arrival from 6.10) and will finish by nine o’clock at the latest.

Starting with first principles, the workshops will cover the following topics:
Who are your principal customers or target groups?
What is a Development Plan?
Different sources of funding;
Three key elements of your application: NEED, DELIVERY, IMPACT;
Your contribution to the project;
Tips for a great application;
Strategies for small clubs and fisheries;
The Angling Improvement Fund application process.
We also hope to give a brief overview of the Environment Agency’s sister scheme: the Fisheries Improvement Programme for habitat restoration and structural works on rivers and natural stillwaters.
