Starting with first principles, the workshops will cover the following topics:

  • Who are your principal customers or target groups?

  • What is a Development Plan?

  • Different sources of funding;

  • Three key elements of your application: NEED, DELIVERY, IMPACT;

  • Your contribution to the project;

  • Tips for a great application;

  • Strategies for small clubs and fisheries;

  • The Angling Improvement Fund application process.

We also hope to give a brief overview of the Environment Agency’s sister scheme: the Fisheries Improvement Programme for habitat restoration and structural works on rivers and natural stillwaters.

These are part of a series of workshops being held across the country this year supported by the Environment Agency. For more details and a closer look at the Angling Improvement Fund, please visit the Angling Trust website at: www.anglingtrust.net/improvementfund
