Eastern Region Shield 2019
I have secured the Middle Level Main Drain for this year’s competition to be held on Sunday the 8th Sept. It will use the Adrian Flux Arena (KL Speedway Clubhouse) as its headquarters, where breakfast will be served from 07:15 and returning to announce the winners and a couple of beers. There is plenty of parking at the stadium and it’s around 3 miles away from the furthest section, so the competition will run from 10:30 – 15:30.
We have with Ray Malle’s help put together the sections which will be between St Mary’s and Magdalen Bridges, in 20 peg sections. Parking will be available behind each peg on the bank.
The competition will follow an open match on the previous Sunday which Ray Malle is running, details are attached.
I look forward to your early registration, as I hope to have a full house of now 20 teams. So please let me know, if you intend to enter as early as possible.

Eastern Region Shield 2018
As announced last year, I have secured the River Ouse in and around Bedford for this year’s competition to be held on Sunday the 16th Sept. It will use the Danish Camp at Willington as its headquarters, where breakfast will be served from 07:15 and returning to announce the winners and a couple of beers. There is plenty of parking at the Danish Camp and it’s around 4.5 miles away from the furthest section at Oakley, so the competition will run from 10:30 – 15:30.
I have with Graham Palmer and Steve Drakulic’s help put together the sections which will start at Willingham, Kempston, Billingham and Oakley, in 20 peg sections.
I have quite a bit of interest from local teams, in what will be a stick float tactics, at first for the ERS.
The competition will follow on two weeks after the hospital cup, another long standing and famous match. Steve and James Drakulic are however running a summer series of matches which are open for all to attend. Details are attached.
I look forward to your early registration, as I hope to have a full house of 20 teams. So please let me know, if you intend to enter as early as possible.

I have amended the records to reflect this below.
